After Exam

After you pass the exam, you may immediately use the certification after your name (e.g., John Doe, PMI-ACP) and your name will also appear in the PMI Online Certification Registry if you elect to be included into the registry. You will also receive a package containing your certificate and information on how to maintain your certification.

Certificate Maintenance

PMI-ACP Certificate is valid for 3 years. Within three years you must earn and report a minimum of 30 PDUs  to maintain an active certification status.

What are the prerequisites to learn this course?

  • 2,000 hours of general project experience working on teams. A current PMP® or PgMP® will satisfy this requirement but is not required to apply for the PMI-ACP.
  • 1,500 hours working on agile project teams or with agile methodologies. This requirement is in addition to the 2,000 hours of general project experience.
  • 21 contact hours of training in agile practices.

All PMI computer-based exams are offered at all Prometric Testing Centers worldwide. You can check for locations on Prometric's website,, but you will need to have submitted your credential fees and received your examination scheduling instructions in order to schedule an exam appointment.

How can you apply for PMI-ACP Certification Exam?

Please follow the below mentioned steps to apply for PMI-ACP Certification Exam:
  • Attain 21 hours of formal PMI-ACP training from a Registered Education Provider (REP).
  • Register in Fill up PMI-ACP Application form online.
  • Receive application approval from PMI.
  • Submit PMP examination fee online. (USD 495 for non Member; USD 435 for members). To avail benefit it is highly recommended to take PMI membership.
  • Visit and schedule examination at convenient date/time.
  • Appear for exam.
